Tina's Country House Wedding | Macomb, MI

Remember Heather and Scott from their yacht club engagement session? We stayed off the waterways in October for a gorgeous wedding at Tina’s Country House in Macomb.

My day started with the couple at Heritage Gardens in Shelby Township. They had already spent the morning getting dolled up for the big day and decided to have me there for all the big moments. We rented out the garden space for a few hours of privacy in the beautiful blooms and manicured park. We got a mix of late summer flowers and even found a few trees that decided to start changing colors early.

I hid Scott in the park as we waited for Heather to arrive to do a first look. If anyone is on the fence about doing a first look, don’t be! I’ll be writing up a blog post later this year about all the pros and cons, but overall it gives you an intimate moment with your soon to be hubby/wifey to take in the day and emotion of it all in private, rather than doing so in front of a crowd of people. Plus it gives you more time for photos, being able to run straight to your party after the ceremony (dependent on timeline), and maybe even get a few moments of just the two of you together!

After the first look, we gathered the bridal party together to get some shots of the crew all together. I couldn’t help but sharing the photo of the whole bridal party. I asked for some sass and man oh man did the flower girl work it! Haha!

We then headed off to the ceremony and reception, both of which were being held at Tina’s Country House was gorgeous. The gardens were filled with fall florals flanking the twisty path leading to the groom. who was anxiously awaiting for his bride.

After such an emotional day, the evening was spent with everyone filling up on cannolis, great food, treats and drinks. And of course, no wedding is complete without lots and lots of DANCING!
