Doubletree Port Huron Wedding

Anyone else already dreaming of summer and sunshine?!? Living in Michigan and so close to Lake Huron has always made me a beach, sunshine, and boats kinda gal. I’m especially excited for summer this year since Hudson will enjoy the sun and sand a bit more. Last year we spent every day we could at the beach and our little guy just loved it. The sounds of the water lapping on the shore always made him calm, snoozy, and snuggly. This coming summer, he’ll be dipping his toes in the water, running and laughing (and screaming haha) on the shore, and cracking us up the whole time. I can’t wait! Since thats about 5-6 months away, I’ll spend my time daydreaming, posting, and blogging all of these beautiful past summer weddings and sessions!

The Doubletree Hotel has such a special place in my heart! It’s where my husband and I got married, so I am always flooded with extra emotions and memories of our day whenever I’m lucky enough to go back there. Seriously Macomb County friends….CHECK. THIS. PLACE. OUT. The food is INCREDIBLE, the staff is attentive and on top of everything, and you cannot beat that beautiful view. Plus, your guests can enjoy some cocktails and safely get back to their room once the evening is over. Its like a destination, but so, so close to the Metro Detroit area. Even guests that don’t want to stay the evening can head home without a terribly long drive.

The Abeskas did just that! They are from the Metro Detroit area, and have frequented the Port Huron area for years and wanted to share that with their friends and family. The day started at Our Mother of Perpetual Help in Oak Park with a beautiful ceremony. Then, everyone loaded into their cars to adventure around beautiful Port Huron Beaches and waterfront. The day ended with a bang with a gorgeous riverfront cocktail hour, awesome dinner, and a loaded dance floor. Right before I left for the evening, I grabbed the bride and groom for some evening portraits with the blue water bridge in the background. Seriously such a fun night!
